This consultation will pinpoint your child’s developmental progress in all the areas of speech, language and social communication and give individual advice as to how a programme can best work for your child.

The emphasis of the therapy sessions is to guide parents in helping their child’s language and communication development. Individual consultations may involve discussion, demonstrating and sharing the language programme. Some children need infrequent monthly individual session others may require a few intensive sessions initially, followed by follow-up sessions at longer intervals.

This assessment will enable your child’s difficulties to be accurately detailed so that an individual therapy programme can be devised for him or her. The length of the assessment sessions and summary report will depend on the complexity of your child’s needs and time needed to analyse the results and write the report.

An assessment summary, programme of advice, recommendations or full comprehensive detailed assessment report can be provided depending on individual need. Fees are based on the length of report required.

Providing comprehensive expert assessments and reports including detailed advice on your child’s individual needs and recommendations of the most appropriate support, therapy and educational environment to meet your child’s needs. Parents may be seeking a statutory assessment, review or statement of special educational needs for their child. Medico-legal assessments and reports may take several days to complete and include making school visits and liaison with other professionals, the price will be reflected in the time needed. Travel to school and home visits are based on mileage at 50p pr mile and £50 per hour.

We ask parents to telephone if they need to cancel the appointment as soon as possible, there is no fee for 48 hours notice of a cancellation. If less than 48 hours notice to session fee will be charged.
