“In November you saw my son for a second appointment for out tribunal case. After appealing the statement Joe started school at Meath School in Surrey. I just wanted to let you know that after just over a year at the school speech is now his first form of communication and his speech has come on amazingly. A year ago when we spoke to him on the phone we had to ask him questions that he could indicate yes or no to, now we are having conversations where Joe will say thing like “tell me about your day”. He is speaking all the time and tries new words everyday. He uses words like “concentrate” and “character” (recognisable but not fully clear). It’s been a fantastic year. We are so glad you recognised the potential in Joe and the possibility of him getting speech – we thought you would enjoy hearing of his progress.
